I like it, but .... I think the shops sign is a bit distracting and woould maybe crop the left to leave 3 panels in the foreground or even left and right crop to leave 2 panels and emphasize the chair. Just an observation anyway.
I pasted it into an editor and tried cropping it different ways. I think I like it best as is, but I also would have liked it if it was cropped closer to emphasize the chair & umbrella more. I prefer the larger view because I like the whole scene - it's just so interesting to me that such a place exists with all those colors and decorated with the chair and umbrella.
Thank you for your comment, Peter and Tom. You cannot imagine the debate I had with myself : shall I or shall I not cropped a bit tighter the photo. I decided to keep it as it is for various reason. 1) If I cropped it where the shop sign was, it looked - in my point of view - ordinary; 2) If I delete the shop sign, I would leave a black spot and it would be such an eye sore; 3) I wanted to keep the teal/green colour on the top left as it recalls the same colours on the shutters; 4) The chair and the umbrella were a bonus. I really appreciate your comment and point of view and honestly, I am still wondering did I make the right decision...
That's the joy of photography Nancy. You choosing your edit compared to what I may have chosen doesn't make it wrong. I like your shot which of course is influenced by what made you click in the first place and only you have that aspect to influence you.
Colorful Wall nice find and capture
