I was in a fairly new shopping mall and you have the usual thing like escalator, a little pond, etc ... The copper like stair was meant for the water to flow into the pond and back. It was supposed to give off a zen-like feeling. Unfortunately it was not working and so I didn't feel any "zen" vibes :)
I love the window decoration of the Japanese restaurant. This was a quick snap.
This decoration was huge - ceiling to floor. It was so airy and the colours a delight. The sun shone through the glass window to leave some shadows.

Despite the lack of Zen you spotted some good images. The first especially has great lines.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peter. Yes, I thought the lines were strong and good!
DeleteI really like the last photo, the light and the design shine through. I find it interesting that they are still building new shopping malls there while over here many are closing down.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Camellia. Lots of my photos were shot in South East Asia. This shot was shot in Bangkok where the youth generation is enormous. Shopping malls caters to a wide range of budgets, too.
DeleteNo Zen for You!!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Thank you Tom and Jovi.
DeleteGreat set, Nancy. Apparently those stairs aren't the steps to enlightenment! Despite the lack of water, your first photo's got a great assortment of lines and shapes. All three are even better when viewed in large format.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom.
