In spite of a heat wave Canada Day in the nation's capital started out very well. I decide to go to the park and see if I could endure the heat long enough to get a shot of the Snowbirds. While waiting for them to do their flypast of Parliament Hill I watched the people in the park enjoying themselves.
Fortunately I had the camera set and ready for the Snowbirds flypast, you only get the one chance.
Unfortunately later in the afternoon Ottawa was subjected to extreme thunderstorms resulting in the cancellation of further festivities.
Terrific. Would you please tell me what kind of lens you used? The people seem "up close" and so personal.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy - because I went out to shoot the Snowbirds I used my 55-200 for my Fuji. Found a bench in the shade with a clear view through the trees for the flypast and settled to wait. The lens was useful for pulling folks in from a distance as in the heat I was not moving!
