Sunday MonoMix

After pretend-to-be-busy Friday in the office, I took a 25-mile leisurely bicycle ride to a little spa town in the Ahr River valley. We have been coming to Bad Neuenahr for more than a hundred years now to “take the waters”, indulge in wellness and fitness (and gambling).

Here comes the wellness weekend then and now:

    1. Hi Peter, I know, you mentioned about your visits here before.

I like cycling in the Ahr valley very much. The Steigenberger was re-opened a year ago but the area around is in need of heaps of money to recover after the flood. The renovated hotel and a small spa are great, though. We are just about to go downstairs for breakfast (which is as good as their new saunas) πŸ™‚.

    1. Hi Camellia, It was great! Juergen went home by train and I took a bicycle (what else?) and went through my favourite villages, meadows, forests. A nice 40-mile ride, soon will be home.
